How to Access North Bend Family Housing
North Bend Family Housing is one of the largest affordable housing developments built on Oregon’s South Coast in decades. Opening in October 2026, the community includes 105 affordable apartments designed to serve a variety of housing needs.
Rather than using a single application process, North Bend Family Housing offers three distinct housing pathways based on household income and eligibility. Understanding which pathway is right for you is the first step toward finding your new home.
General Community Apartments
55 Affordable Housing Units
General Community apartments are available to households with incomes at or below 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). These apartments offer affordable rents but do not include rental assistance.
How to Apply
Applications are accepted directly through Cushman & Wakefield, the professional property management company for North Bend Family Housing.
Eligible applicants will be placed on the General Community waiting list. As apartments become available, applicants will be contacted in waiting list order to complete the screening and leasing process.

Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Apartments
30 Units with Rental Assistance
Project-Based Voucher (PBV) apartments are reserved for households with incomes at or below 30% of the Area Median Income (AMI). These apartments include rental assistance that is attached to the unit, making them an affordable option for households with very low incomes.
How to Apply
Applications for Project-Based Voucher apartments are accepted through the Coos-Curry Housing Authority.
Apply Online
Paper applications are also available at the Housing Authority office. After your application is submitted, eligible households are placed on the PBV waiting list. When a Project-Based Voucher apartment becomes available at North Bend Family Housing, the Housing Authority identifies the next eligible household, who then completes the leasing eligibility process with Cushman & Wakefield.

Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH)
20 Supportive Housing Units
Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) apartments are reserved for households experiencing homelessness who meet eligibility requirements for Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI).
These apartments are not available through a public application. Instead, households access these units through the regional Coordinated Entry system.
How to Access PSH
If you are experiencing homelessness and believe you may qualify, contact one of the region’s Coordinated Entry partners to complete a Coordinated Entry assessment.

A Coordinated Entry assessment will help determine eligibility and priority for available housing resources. When a Permanent Supportive Housing apartment becomes available, the next eligible household is identified through the Coordinated Entry system. Once selected, Cushman & Wakefield completes the leasing process, while Coos Health & Wellness provides ongoing voluntary supportive services to help residents maintain long-term housing stability.
