Building Together: North Bend Family Housing Becomes a Training Ground for Local Firefighters

At North Bend Family Housing, progress means more than construction — it means community partnership in action.

Our General Contractor, LMC Construction, is teaming up with the City of North Bend Fire Department to turn our active construction site into a hands-on learning environment. This collaboration gives firefighters a rare opportunity to see firsthand how buildings are designed and assembled, from framing and materials to fire barriers and ventilation systems.

By understanding the anatomy of a building before it’s complete, firefighters can enhance their ability to respond safely and effectively in real-world emergencies. The partnership also helps bridge the gap between development and public safety — showing how housing construction and emergency preparedness can work hand in hand to strengthen our community.

As the North Bend Family Housing project continues to rise ahead of schedule, we’re proud to see it serving another purpose: building knowledge, collaboration, and readiness that will benefit the entire city for years to come.
